I’m the Founder and Managing Director of Renaissance Studios – a Black, women-led production studio located in Brixton, South London. Renaissance Studios was established to reflect the world we see, and the stories, projects, and collaborations we pursue put communities, culture, and the global diaspora at the heart of our endeavours.
We’ve built partnerships with key creative partners. Our marketing division has developed productions and immersive events for London Fashion Week, Google, Sweat LDN, and our educational programme – The Creative Clinic.
I established a CIC company called The Rebirth Project – a charity extension of Renaissance Studios in response to the lockdown – aiming to tackle young people’s mental health and socio-economic barriers using the power of creativity and pathways into the industry. This is funded by the Arts Council.
Multi-talented and innovative, I bring a wealth of experience in a career spanning over fifteen years. My reputation as a Producer has seen my work for SALT, TOAST, and Channel 4. I’ve produced branded content for Nokia, Samsung, Schuh, Dunhill, Ancestry, Leo Vegas, Google, and Mercedes Benz. Not limited to branded content, my work has crossed over into the big-budgeted world of film, TV, and music productions: Father of Man, sampha’s Blood on Me, Jacob Banks’s Unknown to You, Venus vs. Mars (Sky TV), Dropperz (ITV2), and feature films It’s A Lot, Weekend Movie and The Intent 2.
Renaissance Studios, located in the heart of Brixton, Renaissance celebrates the Black diaspora and communities through Film, TV, Advertising, Events, Branding and Community projects. We champion black, bold, and relatable stories that capture our identities, shared experiences, and culture. For a generation of artists and creators who want to see ourselves in the media we consume, this is content made for us, made by us.
