Lucy Knight

Lucy founded Streatham Space Project in 2017 with a small team of arts professionals living locally. In her role as Executive Director, Lucy has grown the charity since its opening in 2018 by raising over £430k in grants, developing strategies for earned income, growing the team, setting up a trading arm for the bar, and collaborating on new creative projects.

Lucy has 10+ years working in the creative sector. Her background is in collaborative theatre having created and produced work performed at Battersea Arts Centre, The Bush, The Basement in Brighton and Shambala Festival. Prior to setting up Streatham Space Project Lucy worked in arts administration at Rich Mix and produced the strategic tour of ACE funded Hunt & Darton Café.

Streatham Space Project is a Theatre, Music, Art, Dance & Comedy venue in Zone 3, south London. We celebrate the eclectic culture of south London, and host creative events to bring people together from across our neighbourhood. We provide formative creative experiences for young people, working with schools and charities, and work with first-time and experienced south London artists and producers to help them develop work, connect it to audiences in our area, and support their careers.
